Bringing new life: a 1962 Danley 400 ton press. This press is over 20 feet tall! Our customer was experiencing problems with this press not starting properly, half cycling, etc. Do to the heavy restrictions on the operation of punch presses we, together with the customer, decided it would be best to replace the 18- 6-pole relays, 4 timing units, and a host of other electrical parts with a PLC. It was much cheaper and more importantly, the press is safe to operate.

Pictured left: a retrofit of a turret lathe. Another customer of ours bought a used turret lathe. When they had us check it over, we found most of the electrical parts were stripped from the machine. We salvaged what we could and added a few safety features, including a panel door lock handle so unauthorized personal could not open the control panel while the machine was running, a UL requirement.
